CLiTICAL Privacy Policy
1. Operator
The Japanese Society for Vascular Surgery (the “Society”), a specified nonprofit corporation in Japan, provides CLiTICAL (the “App”) through its JCLIMB Committee and the developer, Kazuhiro Miyahara. This Policy describes how information is handled in the App.
2. Information Entered in the App
Users may enter age, sex, height, weight, laboratory values, medical history, and clinical condition information to calculate risk estimates. This information is processed temporarily and solely on the user's device. It is not transmitted to servers operated by the Society or the developer, shared with third parties, or stored persistently by the App.
Do not enter names, patient identification numbers, or other information that directly identifies an individual.
3. Settings Stored on the Device
The App stores the selected display language locally on the user's device. This setting is not transmitted to the Society. It can be deleted by uninstalling the App.
4. Collection, Use, and Sharing
The current version of the App does not collect, transmit, or share personal or health information for advertising, behavioral analytics, usage analytics, or crash analytics. If these practices change, we will update this Policy and provide notice or obtain consent where required by law.
5. External Websites
The App links to external websites, including academic publications, this Policy, and the Terms of Use. Those websites are governed by their respective policies. This website is hosted on GitHub Pages. GitHub may process access information such as IP addresses and browser information when a visitor accesses it. Please refer to GitHub's privacy documentation for details.
6. Information Provided in Inquiries
If you contact us by email or another method, the Society may receive your email address, name, inquiry details, and other information you voluntarily provide. We use it only to respond to and manage the inquiry. Unless retention is required by law or reasonably necessary for dispute handling, it will generally be deleted within one year after the inquiry is resolved. Do not send clinical records, patient names, patient identifiers, images, or other personal information.
7. Access, Correction, and Deletion
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information provided in connection with an inquiry by using the contact details below. We will respond after appropriate identity verification and in accordance with applicable law.
8. Security
The Society implements reasonable safeguards to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, alteration, or disclosure.
9. Children's Privacy
The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. Changes to This Policy
When this Policy is updated, the revised date will be published on this page. Material changes will be communicated through the App or another appropriate method where required.
