CLiTICAL Terms of Use and Disclaimer

1. Applicability

These Terms govern use of CLiTICAL (the “App”), provided by the Japanese Society for Vascular Surgery (the “Society”), a specified nonprofit corporation in Japan. By using the App, you agree to these Terms.

2. Purpose

The App provides statistical risk estimates for reference based on published research concerning outcomes after revascularization in patients with chronic limb-threatening ischemia.

3. Important Medical Limitations

The App does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or prevention, or recommendations for an individual patient. It is not a substitute for professional clinical judgment.

Do not make a medical decision solely on the estimates shown by the App. Before making decisions concerning medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, consider the patient's condition, test results, clinical guidelines, and other relevant information, and consult a qualified healthcare professional. Do not use the App in an emergency; contact an appropriate emergency medical service.

4. Accuracy and Scope

The estimates are statistical values based on the populations and formulas in the cited research and do not guarantee an individual patient's outcome. Validity may be reduced when the population, clinical setting, inputs, or treatment differs from the research. Users are responsible for verifying inputs and results.

5. Prohibited Conduct

You must not use the App in violation of law or public policy, interfere with its operation, infringe the rights of the Society or a third party, attempt unauthorized access, or engage in other inappropriate conduct.

6. Intellectual Property

Rights in the App and related content belong to the Society, the developer, or other lawful rights holders. Rights in cited publications belong to their respective rights holders.

7. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

The Society does not warrant accuracy, completeness, effectiveness, usefulness, fitness for a particular purpose, uninterrupted availability, or freedom from defects. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Society is not liable for damages arising from use of or inability to use the App. Mandatory statutory protections remain unaffected.

8. Changes or Discontinuation

The Society may change, suspend, or discontinue the App when reasonably necessary.

9. Privacy

Information handling is governed by the separate Privacy Policy.

10. Changes to These Terms

The Society may update these Terms and will publish the revised date on this page. Material changes will be communicated by an appropriate method.

11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Unless applicable law requires otherwise, the Tokyo District Court has exclusive jurisdiction as the court of first instance over disputes relating to the App.
